Had a killer time running around Tokyo with Yoon Ambush the other week. Pics and words up on The Food Life
Four Seasons Tokyo
The view from my window today – Four Seasons Tokyo – Thanks for the killer bag and gear Whillas and Gun !
Marlboro Thailand
Besides the obvious fact that they’re no good for you, I don’t have much to say about ciggies. But how cool is this…? Came across this today wandering Bangkok.
LADFEST
A shot of Jessica Walsh from the Latin America Design Festival in Lima, Peru. Had a great time talking shop and hearing story with all. Was honored to participate and looking forward to next year.
Edible Colours
Foraged Mexico City’s largest community garden for edible treats. Here’s what we got.
A’MAREE’S
Regram from Vogue – excited to be cranking things out with the fun team of ladies over at A’MAREE’S Newport Beach
Shoe Making
Documenting the artisanal process of a family tradition spanning three Argentine generations. Buenos Aires – Industry of All Nations
Fred Segal Window on Melrose Ave
Recently blew up an image from Bolivia and placed it in a window display for Fred Segal + Ron Herman Los Angeles. Made it over the other day to check it out and take an awkward photo in front of it.
Brunch in Marin
Got to stop off in the Bay Area to see some friends and clients. Here’s little Miss Mikka Weber prepping some banana pancakes for a little Sunday brunch. Last time I saw the Weber clan was in Taiwan this last spring. We toured around, shot photos, and stuffed our faces silly with copious amounts of Taiwanese eats. I probably put on 10 lbs after that trip. We did the same the last two days. The Webers hold a special place in my heart – not just for being incredible hosts and talented folk, but also for their love of food. Onward to the city of angels and the county of orange. Excited to get in the pacific again and paddle around.
Martha’s Vinyard Blossoms
Sweet little blossoms came into the city yesterday from Martha’s Vinyard just in time for Brutal Magazine’s first dinner party.
New York Farm Colony
Made the trek out with a few colleagues to see the ruins of an old poorhouse and tuberculosis treatment center. Was a bit erie, but the foliage helped balance everything out. Here’s a shot of a structure that once existed as a dorm – now channeling tuscany. Looking forward to sharing some audio and visual elements that we captured. Was inspiring to experience something like this that exists right in the backyard of NYC.
Above and Beyond
En route to visit some friends and colleagues in Lima from La Paz, Bolivia. The view of Lago Titicaca – one mile up in the sky.
Road Wanderings
‘Spanish is my second language. I was raised speaking Aymara’ – Gypsy Lady – Bolivia
Fiber Collection
Got a last minute call to work with Industry of All Nations on a collaboration with J.Crew. A few hours later, a ticket was purchased and I scooted my way down to Bolivia to document the manufacturing process. Here’s a shot in the highlands of an Alpaca breeder and the fruits of her labor.
